Dale Chihuly realized his ambitious project Chihuly Over Venice in 1995 and 1996. Chihuly traveled with his team of glassblowers to glass factories in Finland, Ireland, Mexico, and Italy, and worked in his studio, The Boathouse, in the United States. Along with local glass masters, they created exciting, new vocabularies of forms. In September 1996, the Chandeliers from the international project were installed at 14 locations around Venice.
