| After a museum signs up for an exhibition, I
make a site visit to design the show. The pieces are created around
the museum’s galleries, courtyards, and exterior spaces. Although
many of the installations are similar from one exhibit to another,
they are each site specific. The Albright-Knox Art Gallery and other
museums often ask for pieces that are unique to their museum. In
the lobby of the Albright-Knox there is a pair of columns, and I
designed a chandelier centered between these two columns. The essence
of an installation show is to evolve the environment into something
that transforms the space and excites the viewers. |
