The show features several installations, including Opal and Jet Gilded Sconce, Scarlet and Yellow Persian and Feather Chandelier, and Red Oak Persian Wall. |

| In early August Chihuly created the Sea Blue, Celadon and Pale Amber Tower for the new San Joaquin County Administration Building. The Tower, measuring approximately 9' high x 6' wide, is located in the atrium lobby. |

| Dale and Leslie continue their support for Adventures of the Mind. They attended this year's summit, which was hosted by Charles Simonyi at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, NJ where Einstein spent his last 20 years. Adventures of the Mind is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping promising students realize their potential. This four-day mentoring summit for 160 exceptional students, ages 15-18, enables students to meet some of the greatest scientists, scholars, public servants, journalists, entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, and writers of our day. |

| 65,000 people gathered at Qwest Field in July for the international friendly match between Chelsea FC and the Seattle Sounders FC. Before the game Dale was honored to be presented with the Seattle Sounders' Golden Scarf Award given to individuals who make a positive impact in the State of Washington. |

| During the summer Chihuly and the Sounders publicly announced a five-year partnership during which time Dale will create a unique piece of commemorative artwork to be presented to the club's friendly opponents. Sounders FC hosted Chelsea FC and FC Barcelona for two international friendly matches this season. At both matches, just before kick-off, Dale and his son, Jackson, presented the owners of both teams with the Chihuly Emerald Spire. |
