Aspen Green Persian

2009 Chihuly Workshop Studio Edition

Aspen Green Persian

8 x 9 x 9"

Aspen Green Persian incorporates the opulent colors and exquisite lines of Chihuly's Persian series. This piece is highlighted by a radiant citron green, with delightful shades of yellow and red spots sprinkled on the back like lingering confetti from a late-night celebration. A contrasting red lip wrap delineates a softly rippled and folded edge, and thin lines radiate outward around the body, beginning at the ball foot, on which the Persian rests.

Every year, Chihuly creates four Studio Editions, representing Chihuly’s most distinctive series. As every piece is handblown, your artwork may vary slightly in size, color, and shape. Small blemishes or imperfections in the glass are part of the glass blowing process and add to the individual characteristics of each piece.

Includes the hardcover book Chihuly Persians with images that capture these imaginative forms, and an essay by former museum curator Tina Oldknow that gives historical context to the artist’s Persian series.
