Chihuly Seaforms

Chihuly Seaforms

The Seaforms series represents Chihuly’s push at the possibilities of glass as a medium, especially in regards to the diaphanous potential of the material. This series of work shows not only Chihuly experimenting with the dexterity of glass, but also shows an artist exploring forms that are at once delicate and active. The end results are works which suggest the expressive gesture of a fluid body.

A companion DVD accompanies each book that includes artist commentary discussing the history of each series, all approximately 15 minutes in running time.
