Summary

    Mystic Cove

Inspired by Chihuly’s Niijima FloatsMystic Cove exemplifies Chihuly’s spontaneous approach to drawing using layers of colors. The Floats are recognized for their remarkably large scale, form, and rich color combinations. Significant to the artist’s career, they have been documented as the largest blown glass sculptures ever made.

The background is a blend of cool aquamarine colors with a Float defined by silver ink and pearl white handwork. Several more layers of green ‘dots’ delineate the interior of the Float. This Fine Art Print provides an intimate and alternative connection to Chihuly’s innovative work in glass, and is signed by Dale Chihuly in custom acrylic paint.

"Glass itself is so much like water. If you let it go on its own it almost ends up looking like something that came from the sea."
