On January 30, Dale, Leslie, Team Chihuly and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Centercelebrated the 48th annual Hutch Award winner, Barry Zito of the San Francisco Giants.
The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center hosts the Hutch Award Luncheon each year in Seattle to raise funds for early cancer detection research. A Major League Baseball player is chosen and receives the Cerulean Venetian with Sun Yellow Coils.
This year, the keynote speaker was Lou Piniella – go Mariners!
Marking the sixth year of a ten year commitment Chihuly has created artwork for recipients; he is honored to support this important cause to fight cancer.
