Dale and Team Chihuly celebrated the Museum of Glass’s 10-year anniversary with a visit to its hotshop in Tacoma. He was the first visiting artist to work in the hotshop in July 2002 as part of the grand opening weekend.

Celebrating his relationship with artists Flora C. Mace and Joey Kirkpatrick, Chihuly and the team created Soft Cylinders. Chihuly also worked on his Drawings during the event. The team was excited to have kids from Hilltop Artists – a program supported by Dale – in attendance.

The Chihulys also participated in the Museum’s Red Hot Gala on September 22. The Studio donated a piece of artwork for the auction. In addition, at the Chihuly After Party, Dale donated a piece off the pipe, which was auctioned off in the hotshop to benefit the museum.
