Phillips, a luxury auction house known for connecting collectors with significant works of contemporary art and design, recently presented Seeing Red, a selling exhibition by curators Jane Neal and Fru Tholstrup. Featuring Chihuly’s Ruby Red Chandelier (2006), the exhibition brought clients to Phillips’ Berkeley Square galleries in London, where both established and emerging artists presented works illuminating the many visceral connotations of the color red—fury, passion, terror, and love.

Visitors were first met in the lobby with the dramatic monochrome Ruby Red Chandelier, which was embraced by both visitors and the Phillips team alike. “We were thrilled to feature Dale Chihuly’s Ruby Red Chandelier,” said Miety Heiden, Phillips’ Deputy Chairwoman and Head of Private Sales. “[It] is an excellent example of Chihuly’s intricate craftsmanship. The exhibition garnered an enthusiastic response from the public, particularly towards Chihuly's magnificent Chandelier, which we chose to display suspended in the entrance.”

While the exhibition has now closed, Ruby Red Chandelier has proven so popular that it remains temporarily on view. To learn more about this Chandelier and the Seeing Red exhibition, visit Phillips.com
