World of Glass: The Art of Dale Chihuly

This week, Abrams—a publishing house specializing in art and illustrated books since 1949—has released a new children’s book about Chihuly. Published under its Books for Young Readers imprint, “World of Glass: The Art of Dale Chihuly” introduces young art enthusiasts to Chihuly through the retelling of his early life, his passion for glassblowing, and his dazzling works in glass.

Penned by authors Jan Greenberg and Sandra Jordan, “World of Glass: The Art of Dale Chihuly” is lavishly illustrated with colorful images of Chihuly’s artwork and historical family photographs. Written for readers ages eight and up, the book highlights Chihuly’s hotshop and team glassblowing approach with a step-by-step look at the glassblowing process, and a list of places to see Chihuly’s artwork in person.
