Chihuly’s long-standing relationship with the rich culture of Italy continues with a collection of work presented in the historic Palazzo Pucci N6. The palace located in Florence, has been home to the Pucci family since 1480—including the Marchese Emilio Pucci, Italian fashion designer and founder of the Florentine fashion house Pucci, known for his exquisite garments featuring fluid shapes and colorful graphic prints. Pieces from Chihuly’s Basket and Venetian series were selected to complement the interiors of the palace and to highlight the shared aesthetics of organic form and bold color, and the shared tradition of innovation.
