Big Chill, Five-color serigraph with handwork, 37 x 25", Edition of 125
Chihuly Workshop announces the release of its newest print, Big Chill.
Drawing inspiration from Chihuly’s new Glass on Glass series and the delicate balance of the Ikebana form, Big Chill typifies the artist’s unrestrained drawing style. Overlapping shades of blue seemingly shift in the background as deep blue and silver ink delineate the iconic form. Adding to the expressive composition is the application of metallic paint to the print after it was hand-pulled from the press. Big Chill is signed by Dale Chihuly in custom acrylic paint.
