Chihuly Workshop Announces Reeds Behind Print

Chihuly Workshop announces the release of its newest print, Reeds Behind.

Painted with colors exclusive to Chihuly, Reeds Behind, has the unpredictability and expressiveness that are essential features of his limited edition prints. Combining the language from two of Chihuly’s ambitious series in glass, Reeds and Floats, this print uses five layers of intaglio and lithography print techniques with additional handwork to convey the dynamism from these works in glass to paper. Vertical red Reeds erupt against a blue-violet background and acrylic handwork of turquoise drops inside the gold perimeter defines the Float. The end result is a print that is strong, and in dialogue with the artist’s evolving reconsideration and reimagining of his work in glass and its translation on to paper.
