Chihuly Workshop Celebrates Release of New Print

Chihuly Workshop announces the release of its newest print, Island Dawn.

The new print is full of warm, rich colors and exemplifies how a drawing by Chihuly becomes a print through the collaborative process of printmaking. Spotted with bright, layered colors, Island Dawn, is a limited edition print inspired by the vibrant Niijima Float series. Using a split fountain technique, the background colors transition vertically from ochre to bright orange—a shift often seen in the artist’s original drawings. Cobalt blue, green, pale yellow and antique copper is layered inside the Float, while the darker burnt sienna lines define the perimeter.
