Chihuly Garden and Glass Presents Chihuly Silvered Exhibition

Celebrating the release of Chihuly Workshop’s newest book, Chihuly Silvered, Chihuly Garden and Glass presents an exhibition of the artist’s Silvered series in the Glasshouse. The artwork is on view until November 12.  

Chihuly first experimented with the effects of silvered glass in 1996, and in 2009 he began to explore the full range of possibilities that silvering glass could have for his work, in particular his Cylinder and Venetian series. By silvering his artwork, he is able to extend the reflective quality of the glass. Chihuly Silveredis the first comprehensive survey of his silvered artwork.

To commemorate the launch of the book and Glasshouse exhibition, Chihuly signed books for the public at the Chihuly Garden and Glass Bookstore on October 13.
